Here are some frequently asked questions about TYPOGRFX:
How do I order?
First of all, browse through the website and get an idea of what you’d like to order. Look at the samples and check out the format, style, colors and words pages, accessed from the home page. Then visit my online shop and add the item you would like to personalize to your cart. Then check out and follow the instructions. After you submit payment, it will redirect you to the form asking for your custom specs (words, colors, etc.) Fill that out completely and hit “Submit” at the bottom. Then watch your email over the next few days for a proof. This email will include an attachment, so it may go into your spam/junk. Once I receive approval on the proof, I will send the design to print and will let you know when it ships or is ready for pick up.
How many words do I get to choose?
25-30 words and short phrases is ideal, although I do not limit you to that. Anything over 40-45 tends to be cluttered and harder to read, especially on smaller prints. Learn more about choosing your words here.
How many colors do I get to choose?
You can have any colors you want and there are a variety of backgrounds available as well. Learn more about choosing your colors here.
What is the difference between all of the different formats?
TYPOGRFX designs are available in a variety of formats – lustre prints, gallery-wrapped canvases, wood photo boards, framed wood prints, burlap prints, metal prints and keepsake blankets. Learn all about the different formats here.
What size should I order for my space?
It really depends on what kind of statement you want your custom art to make. If you want it to be the focal point of the room – go bigger. If you want it to blend with other decor – go smaller. I always recommend that you take a piece of wrapping paper and cut it to the size you are thinking and tape it up on the wall. Then step back! Is it too big, too small or just right? You can see all of the various sizes available compared to a standard size couch in this photo album here.
How long does it take to get a TYPOGRFX done?
Typically, you will receive an emailed PDF proof with your TYPOGRFX design in 1-2 business days after placing the order. During peak holiday season, this time might be up to a week. Upon your approval, the design will be sent to production. Typical turnaround is 2 weeks for most items, plus shipping time. Burlap and wood prints, as well as wood boards can take up to 3 weeks, plus shipping. Canvas and metallic minis can take up to 4 weeks with regular shipping. (Rush shipping is available.) How does my TYPOGRFX get to me?
If you are local to the Kansas City metro area, I am more than happy to allow you to pick up your item from my home in rural Lawson. I also ship TYPOGRFXs all over the country. See shipping rates here. I typically ship USPS Priority, which includes insurance and tracking. If for some reason your package arrives damaged, please save everything (including the box) and email me for directions.
Oh no! I need a TYPOGRFX gift in 2 weeks! What are my options?
Rush orders are available for an additional charge. I do my best to work with people to get their orders to them as soon as possible. Contact me for a rush order estimate. Another great solution would be to purchase a gift certificate, which I can email to you in as little as an hour (depending on if I’m in the office at the time).. Then the recipient can choose their own words, colors and everyone is happy!
I want to give a TYPOGRFX as a gift, but I can’t come up with the word list. What can I do?
TYPOGRFX is the perfect gift for any occasion. However, you might not be able to come up with all of the words that would be meaningful to the recipient. In this case, you can purchase a gift certificate to give and let the recipient come up with the words that are important to them. Problem solved!
